Eco-tourism

In the autumn 2001 our Bulgarian friends showed us the village of Zjeravna in the Blue Mountains. We liked it so much that we decided to buy the house in Zjeravna.

By creating a small amount of tourism we want to help our friends by creating local jobs in this wonderful but poor corner of Europe. The area prides itself on its unique culture and magnificent countryside.

Due to our close relations with people in the village of Zjeravna there is ample opportunity of experiencing the interesting local community, and with our Bulgarian friends' knowledge of the local area there is also the possibility of experiencing the magnificent countryside and of going horseback riding, fishing, trekking and much more.

In this way experiences can be had whilst at the same time supporting developments in the area.
